Registration Deadline: August 31, 2026 The official schedule, duration, and orientation details will be discussed during the enrollment meeting and shared with registered participants.

 

Core Curriculum & Topics

  • Personal Care: Bathing, grooming, dressing, and assisting with bathroom needs or oral hygiene.

  • Patient Mobility: Safe transfer techniques from beds to wheelchairs, and proper walking (ambulation) support to prevent falls.

  • Health Basics: Measuring vital signs, basic anatomy and physiology, and recognizing changes in a patient's condition to report to nurses.

  • Safety & Infection Control: Proper handwashing, universal precautions, and managing household safety hazards.

  • Nutrition & Daily Living: Planning or preparing meals, dietary needs, and light housekeeping tasks related to patient care.

  • Specialized Care: Communicating with patients who have cognitive impairments, chronic illnesses, or dementia.

Fees and Payments

  - Registration Fee: $100 (Required upfront to secure a seat; registration is only complete once paid).
  - Class Fee: $599 (Due once the class officially begins; not required at the time of registration).
  - Accepted Payment Methods: Secure payment link or credit card. Payment instructions will be provided upon registration.

CHHA Tuition Reimbursement Award

*Applications must be submitted by October 31st, 2026. One recipient will be selected based on eligibility and application criteria. The selected recipient will be eligible for reimbursement of CHHA training tuition upon successful completion of the training program and passing the required certification examination. Reimbursement is limited to the actual tuition cost and is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. Recipient must provide documentation of tuition payment, successful program completion, and certification exam results to receive reimbursement.
